Cider

Cider is as sweet as apple pie — or apple cider! She arrived at the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center as a shy girl, but has since blossomed into a social butterfly and is excited to find a home to call her own. She loves petting, toys and going for walks, and the best thing about Cider is being greeted by her sweet smiley face!
Big fan of: Pets and playtime! She is a very silly and affectionate pup who loves to lie next to her favorite people and get belly rubs. She has a playful side and is happy to play with a human, other dogs or all by herself! Her favorite playstyles with other dogs are rolling on the ground together or a simple game of chase in a fenced-in yard. Walks are also a favorite of hers! She can get super excited when getting ready for a walk, but she has shown she can settle and calmly walk next to her person. Cider loves treats too, which comes in handy when practicing some basic obedience skills — training games with tasty treats are a quick way to her heart!
Working on: Her confidence in new places. Cider can be shy at first, but she loves people and warms up fast, especially if there is another dog or familiar face nearby. She has also learned how to load into a car, but she may need some initial encouragement to jump into the back seat. She enjoys the destination a bit more than the journey!
Dream home: Cider’s dream home would have a comfy bed and a continuous supply of new toys and tasty snacks to enjoy! She would love a patient adopter who understands that it can be scary moving into a new home, and that she may need some time to open up. But once she is comfortable, she is sure to make you laugh with how cute and silly she is. Cider will repay your patience with loads of cuddles!
