For the eighth year in a row, the ASPCA was selected as one of four national charities to participate in the Subaru Share the Love Event, which ran from November 19, 2015, to January 2, 2016. This year, Subaru generously increased its total charitable donation from $15 million to $18.5 million!

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, Subaru of America, Inc. presented the ASPCA with a check for more than $2.5 million at our headquarters in New York City—the most the ASPCA has ever received through the Share the Love event!

Also, for the third consecutive year, Subaru encouraged local retailers to select a local Hometown Charity to participate in the campaign. In addition, the ASPCA provided 45 animal welfare organizations with up to $5,000 each in grant funds to host a one- or two-day Share the Love adoption or supply drive event with the support of their local Subaru retailer during the six-week campaign.

These grants funded 56 Share the Love events which drew more than 5,000 reported attendees and resulted in over 1,000 adoptions. In addition, more than 2,900 shelter “wish list” items were collected and $67,000 in cash donations were raised for the ASPCA shelter grantees.
